The TAP Extreme Duty Wrist Weights can be used in place of holding dumbbells or other hand-held weights as a way of adding resistance to the movement of the arms. They are often used when performing pronation drills as well as scapular stabilization and strengthening movements. These wrist cuffs are ideal for exercise movements where slow, deliberate and controlled movements are desired. Using these devices for explosive movement drills is not recommended unless following an established exercise protocol while under the supervision of a knowledgeable coach.
The TAP Extreme Duty Wrist Weights have outside pockets to hold the metal weight bars and are available in two models: the Ten Pound (two wrist weights each containing ten half pound metal bars for a total of 5 pounds each weight); and the Twenty Pound (two wrist weights each containing ten one pound metal bars for a total of 10 pounds each weight). The weight of both models may be lessened if desired by removing the weight bars to achieve wanted resistance: the half pound bars are secured by hook and loop fasteners; the one pound bars are secured by safety stitching.
Recommended for commercial or institutional use, the TAP Extreme Duty Wrist Weights are both comfortable and highly durable. These wrist weights have easily adjustable hook and loop closures for a secure fit and may also be used as ankle weights if desired. While they are suitable for indoor or outdoor use they are not intended for use in water. Instruction for use not included.
